What is OBGear?
OBGear began in 2005 as a fun, creative way to increase awareness of sexually transmitted diseases/infections. It's a pro bono project of GiansantiDesign.
I would like one shirt for myself. How come only custom orders are available?
We apologize that, for the time being, we are fulfilling only custom orders. Please bear with us while we set up a new system for individual orders. If you are in a hurry, simply send us an email and we'd be happy to make arrangements on a case by case basis.
Your models are kinda hot. Do they have STDs?
Consider the odds. More than half of all people will have an STD/STI at some point in their lifetime, and one in four adults also has herpes simplex virus type 2. Sexually transmitted diseases/infections happen to normal, everyday people.
I’d love to order your shirts for everyone at my clinic. Do you offer group discounts?
We silkscreen OBGear shirts in relatively small quantities so discounts on our front-only designs aren’t always possible. But please write to us and maybe we can work something out. Consider also our custom t-shirt option (minimum order of 50 shirts). Depending on your quantity, we may be able to offer a greater discount for shirts purchased this way. Either way, we’d love to feature a photo of your staff on our “show us your tees” page.
Is it possible to customize one of your shirts with our clinic’s or special event’s name?
Yes. OBGear is able to add a custom imprint to the reverse of shirts with a one-sided design. We will custom design your information to match the front of the shirt. Please see our “custom orders” page and the OBGear Custom T-shirts PDF.
Are your buttons for sale?
We are working on making buttons available in small quantities for indivudal sale. Contact us directly to purchase in quantities of 100 buttons or more.

What’s your privacy policy?
Simply put, we're thrilled that you stopped by and respect your right to privacy. If you submit your email address, it will be for OBGear use only. We will not rent, sell, or otherwise share your personal information. Submitted email addresses will be added to the OBGear email list, which sends out occasional notices when there are special sales events and new designs added to our collection. With every notice, you will have an opportunity to opt out, if you no longer wish to receive our news. If you are a winner in an occasional drawing and send us your snail mail address so that we may send your buttons or t-shirt, we will not use that address for any other purpose. OBGear does not utilize “cookies.” We do collect anonymous stats not linked to email addresses about such things as browsers and traffic patterns. We use this information to make your time at wearobgear.com more user-friendly.
What kind of shirts do you use?
We print on 100% cotton, sweatshop-free t-shirts made by American Apparel in downtown Los Angeles. Our unisex/men’s shirt is style 2001, and our women’s shirts are styles 2102 (fine jersey) and 4305 (baby rib).
Can I use one of your designs on my group’s brochure or other materials?
All content and artwork on this website and our t-shirts and buttons is original and copyrighted. We’ve donated a lot of our time and money to promoting awareness creatively and ask that you not use any of our work for your own purposes.
Where does the “OB” come from?
The OB stands for outbreak, as those with herpes are all too familiar with.
